Indian classical danceforms are incomplete without the 'Ghungroo'. According to culture and tradition, ghungroos are awarded to the dancer by guru. They symbolise the connection of the dancer closely with Mother Earth.
The Ghungroo elevates the rhythm and energy of the dance; adding space for the audience to enjoy and appreciate the complex footwork by the dancer.
This artwork is my homage to this beautiful tradition of the Indian Classical dancers.

This creative pursuit allowed me to explore the many shades of black, white and everything in between. The choice of composition was purely because of the breath-taking play of light and shadow. Zoom in to see the minutest details that create the stars, clouds and the fine lines for snow.

This is a contrasting tale of black and white. Through skin and fur, I bring forth a new dimension to my horse series. This is the first time, I have captured two horses in a single frame and that is what adds to the overall grace of this artwork.
Both the horses have their individual character and personality, one is white and the other black; one holds the head high while the other bows with grace.
A piece of beauty for all art and horse lovers, this is a must have.

Naaz

'Naaz' as the name suggests, is symbolic to pride. With this subject, my core focus was the eyes and how I could bring the emotive power of 'pride' in them.
The jewellery and veil were used to portray and amplify the sense of achievement, and at the same time capture the contrasting theme of a reserved personality.
Pride is tasteless, colourless and sizeless and yet is the hardest thing to depict and this was a major challenge here. A little imbalance and "Naaz" would have been labelled Garoor. I hope my vision translates to you in the same form I envisioned it.
